# Update example for Tailwind v3
I updated the example used by the [official docs](https://tailwindcss.com/docs/guides/nextjs) to reference Tailwind v3 with the necessary changes. I _did not_ update the emotion example because it's using the xwind package which will likely need to be updated first.

Clean up package.json files in the `examples` directory:
- Add `private: true`
- Remove `version` (because they are irrelevant for packages that are not meant to be published)
- Remove `name` (because they are optional for packages that are not meant to be published, and when someone clones an example, they often rename it and the property becomes stale)
- Remove `author`
- Remove `description`
- Remove `license`
Also remove `with-dynamic-app-layout` example completely, since it does the same as `layout-component` (https://github.com/vercel/next.js/pull/27121#discussion_r668178408).

[With next 11 requiring react 17](https://nextjs.org/blog/next-11#upgrade-guide), most of the examples
need to be updated, so the following snippet updated all the examples to
a compatible react version.

This Pull Request makes [`@tailwindcss/jit`](https://github.com/tailwindlabs/tailwindcss-jit) the default engine for Tailwind CSS.
It has the following advantages:
- Lightning-fast build times because the CSS is generated on demand.
- Every variant is enabled out of the box.
- Generate arbitrary styles without writing custom CSS.
- Better performance in browser dev-tools.
Updated `examples/with-tailwindcss` to the newest TailwindCSS, and opted in to future-facing breaking changes.
Also created a jsconfig.json so that files can be imported without traversing up relative paths.

- Updated the tailwindcss and tailwindcss-emotion examples to the latest version of tailwindcss
- Added a new `with-styled-jsx` example
- Updated the `basic-css` example to use CSS Modules instead of styled-jsx
- Added the examples to the documentation page for built-in css support
I wrote a [script](https://github.com/j0lv3r4/dependency-version-updater) to update dependencies recursively in `package.json` files, e.g.:

$ node index.js --path="./examples" --dependencies="react=^16.7.0,react-dom=^16.7.0"
```
This PR contains the result against the examples folder.
Instead of bundling `postcss-cli` we can now make use of `@zeit/with-css`.
This also means we can get rid of the `<style>` import and concurrent build step for css. 🎉
