When using pnpm / yarnPnP to install next.js, styled-jsx as dependency is not hoisted in the top level node_modules, it will fail when nodejs is trying to resolve `styled-jsx/style` from project directory. Re-export `styled-jsx/style` in next.js and let swc/babel plugin compile the import path it to `next/dist/shared/lib/styled-jsx`

This PR brings some significant refactoring in preparation for upcoming middleware changes. Each commit can be reviewed independently, here is a summary of what each one does and the reasoning behind it:
- [Move pagesDir to next-dev-server](f2fe154c00) simply moves the `pagesDir` property to the dev server which is the only place where it is needed. Having it for every server is misleading.
- [Move (de)normalize page path utils to a file page-path-utils.ts](27cedf0871) Moves the functions to normalize and denormalize page paths to a single file that is intended to hold every utility function that transforms page paths. Since those are complementary it makes sense to have them together. I also added explanatory comments on why they are not idempotent and examples for input -> output that I find very useful.
- [Extract removePagePathTail](6b121332aa) This extracts a function to remove the tail on a page path (absolute or relative). I'm sure there will be other contexts where we can use it.
- [Extract getPagePaths and refactor findPageFile](cf2c7b842e) This extracts a function `getPagePaths` that is used to generate an array of paths to inspect when looking for a page file from `findPageFile`. Then it refactors such function to use it parallelizing lookups. This will allow us to print every path we look at when looking for a file which can be useful for debugging. It also adds a `flatten` helper.
- [Refactor onDemandEntryHandler](4be685c37e) I've found this one quite difficult to understand so it is refactored to use some of the previously mentioned functions and make it easier to read.
- [Extract absolutePagePath util](3bc0783474) Extracts yet another util from the `next-dev-server` that transforms an absolute path into a page name. Of course it adds comments, parameters and examples.
- [Refactor MiddlewarePlugin](c595a2cc62) This is the most significant change. The logic here was very hard to understand so it is totally redistributed with comments. This also removes a global variable `ssrEntries` that was deprecated in favour of module metadata added to Webpack from loaders keeping less dependencies. It also adds types and makes a clear distinction between phases where we statically analyze the code, find metadata and generate the manifest file cc @shuding @huozhi
EDIT:
- [Split page path utils](158fb002d0) After seeing one of the utils was being used by the client while it was defined originally in the server, with this PR we are splitting the util into multiple files and moving it to `shared/lib` in order to make explicit that those can be also imported from client.
* hoist `react-dom/server` imports to reduce module load time in nodejs
* simplify `reactRoot` detection condition by checking the streaming rendering API we're using. (if it doesn't existed, like react 17, then we won't enable `reactRoot`)
* Merge `__NEXT_CONCURRENT_FEATURES` into `__NEXT_REACT_ROOT` env var since they're identical now
List all exports for internal path module to avoid import destruction is breaking with typescript.
#### Prev
```js
import pathMod from '../isomorphic/path'
const { join, resolve } = pathMod
```
#### Now
```js
import { join, resolve } from '../isomorphic/path'
```
This continues off of https://github.com/vercel/next.js/pull/36285 fixing some of the failing test cases noticed when running the E2E tests against deployments. After these are resolved the tests will be added to our CI flow after each canary release.

I would like to be able to write handlers with early returns like this:
```typescript
import { NextApiHandler } from 'next'
const handler: NextApiHandler = (req, res) => {
const value = getStuff()
if (value === 'branch') {
return res.json({})
}
res.status(400)
}
```
but `NextApiHandler`'s current return type is `void | Promise<void>`, which causes compilation to fail with
```
Error:(11, 3) TS2322: Type '(req: NextApiRequest, res: NextApiResponse<any>) => Promise<NextApiResponse<any> | undefined>' is not assignable to type 'NextApiHandler<any>'.
Type 'Promise<NextApiResponse<any> | undefined>' is not assignable to type 'void | Promise<void>'.
Type 'Promise<NextApiResponse<any> | undefined>' is not assignable to type 'Promise<void>'.
Type 'NextApiResponse<any> | undefined' is not assignable to type 'void'.
Type 'NextApiResponse<any>' is not assignable to type 'void'.
```
to avoid that the above snippet needs to be written as
```typescript
if (value === 'branch') {
res.json({})
return
}
```
which looks odd to me. Changing the return type of `NextApiHandler` to `unknown | Promise<unknown>` would allow for shorter early returns and still communicates to users that nothing is expected to be returned from a handler.
Augmenting the type like this, makes the first snippet work:
```typescript
import { NextApiRequest, NextApiResponse } from 'next'
declare module 'next' {
export declare type NextApiHandler<T = any> = (
req: NextApiRequest,
res: NextApiResponse<T>
) => unknown | Promise<unknown>
}
```

Moves two utility functions from `server/router.ts` into their own file. This avoids the middleware pulling in the full Next.js router into its bundle.
There are probably more opportunities like this, but this is a good start. Middleware should likely be bundled by a non-chunking optimizing compiler.
This PR depends on #35242 and #35243. It allows the global runtime to be unset, as well as enables static optimization for Fizz and RSC pages in the Node.js runtime. Currently for the Edge runtime pages are still always SSR'd.
Closes#31317.

## Summary
This PR adds a new `worker` strategy to the `<Script />` component that automatically relocates and executes the script in a web worker.
```jsx
<Script
strategy="worker"
...
/>
```
[Partytown](https://partytown.builder.io/) is used under the hood to provide this functionality.
## Behavior
- This will land as an experimental feature and will only work behind an opt-in flag in `next.config.js`:
```js
experimental: {
nextScriptWorkers: true
}
```
- This setup use a similar approach to how ESLint and Typescript is used in Next.js by showing an error to the user to install the dependency locally themselves if they've enabled the experimental `nextScriptWorkers` flag.
<img width="1068" alt="Screen Shot 2022-03-03 at 2 33 13 PM" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/12476932/156639227-42af5353-a2a6-4126-936e-269112809651.png">
- For Partytown to work, a number of static files must be served directly from the site (see [docs](https://partytown.builder.io/copy-library-files)). In this PR, these files are automatically copied to a `~partytown` directory in `.next/static` during `next build` and `next dev` if the `nextScriptWorkers` flag is set to true.

`escape-regex.ts` will always be included in the bundle, so not re-using it actually makes the size larger.
Implements https://github.com/vercel/next.js/issues/30997 with some minor tweaks to the design:
* The hook is moved to Client Components (e.g. `pages/_app` instead of `pages/_document`). This was a silly oversight in the original design: the hook needs to be called during server prerendering.
* `useFlushEffects` instead of `useFlushEffect` as there isn't a particularly safe way to implement the singular semantics as a Client Component hook given the current implementation of server rendering.

This PR removes the experimental `optimizeImages` flag. This feature was designed to automatically add preload tags for images, but I was never able to get it to do a very good job of selecting the images that actually need preloading.
This feature never graduated from experimental and in fact we never even publicized it as an experimental feature for people to try.
Additionally, even if someone was using this feature, it wouldn't have a functional effect, only a performance effect (removal of some preloads).
For those reasons, I believe it is safe to remove this functionality and that it is not a breaking change.
Fixes#33476
I've added the test for this but it passes either way, even when the change to loadable.js is not made. On the reproduction I was able to reproduce it consistently and it's fixed with this change.

Make the external `Router` state immutable, and make it so there's only one place (`set`) where it is changed and announced. This is to prepare for #33919, which ensures that we only create a new router once per tree.
* Allow scroll prevention on hash change
Currently, `scrollToHash` is performed on every hash change, even when this change is caused by `<Link scroll={false} {...props} />`.
This change prevents scrolling in this case and allows users to specify the desired scrolling behavior in the router's `hashChangeComplete` event.

In #33968, a warning was added for script tags inserted through the
next/head component. This change unintentionally included
application/ld+json scripts, which shouldn't be triggering the
warnings (as they were originally intended to catch scripts where
loading order or timing could be important). This change adds an
exception for application/ld+json scripts, so they do not log the
warning if they are included through next/head.
This commit adds a development mode warning in the console
if you try to include <link rel="stylesheet"> tags in
next/head, e.g.
```
<Head>
<link ref="stylesheet" href="..." />
</Head>
```
The warning message explains that this pattern will not
work well with Suspense/streaming and recommends using a
custom Document component instead.

Fixes#32727
With this PR we introduce a new header that can be used to respond from Middleware `x-middleware-cache`. When the value of this header is set to `no-cache`, the client will **not** store the effects read from a preflight response to be used in an upcoming check.
Instead of using `Cache-Control` we are using a custom header to not mess with browser specific caching. Accepting a specific value to opt out (`no-cache`) opens the future opportunity of having other caching strategies.
This feature solves the issue of having a preflight request whose parameters can change from the client affecting the effects. For example, having a cookie that would make a middleware rewrite to one pathname or another and allowing to change that cookie from the client. In that case we'd always need to revalidate the effects on navigation synchronously.
Of course when using this feature it is possible that we add some latency on navigation so the preferred mechanism will be caching by default since it covers the most common use cases.
When the URL already contains a hash (like `/#section`) and a `Link` with `href="/"` is clicked, the page should scroll to the top on the first click. Currently, it only happens with the second click (after `#section` has been removed from the URL).

**Note**: This PR is applying again changes landed #31935 that were reverted from an investigation.
This PR fixes#30398
By default Next will polyfill some fetch APIs (Request, Response, Header and fetch) only if fetch is not found in the global scope in certain entry points. If we have a custom server which is adding a global fetch (and only fetch) at the very top then the rest of APIs will not be polyfilled.
This PR adds a test on the custom server where we can add a custom polyfill for fetch with an env variable. This reproduces the issue since next-server.js will be required without having a polyfill for Response which makes it fail on requiring NextResponse. Then we remove the code that checks for subrequests to happen within the **sandbox** so that we don't need to polyfill `next-server` anymore.
The we also introduce an improvement on how we handle relative requests. Since #31858 introduced a `port` and `hostname` options for the server, we can always pass absolute URLs to the Middleware so we can always use the original `nextUrl` to pass it to fetch. This brings a lot of simplification for `NextURL` since we don't have to consider relative URLs no more.

Reverts support for render prop in `<Main />` in `Document`. This was added just to support the `useFlushEffect` hook, but we've tweaked the design a bit, moving it to `App`.

Since #31939 is going to move the `Document` components, we can't rely on `DefinePlugin` to provide environment variables. This PR passes them as render opts instead. We can't just force this to be bundled like e.g. `next/dynamic`, because we use it internally.
Whenever we trigger a route change in the client we check if there route we are navigating to is affected by a middleware. When this is the case we run a preflight and in case there is an effect that tells us that the middleware is responding with content we force a _refresh_. This is fine for navigation in general but it is not ok when the change is triggered for hydration. For example, in cases where the rendered page is a dynamic page this triggers an infinite reload.
In this PR we add a test where we add a `_middleware` that proxies to a dynamic path. When making a request to `/interface/root-subrequest` there will be a middleware that simply performs a fetch against localhost for the same `/interface/root-subrequest`. The new request will skip the middleware to avoid loops and then render the dynamic page. Then client will force a change for hydration resulting in a preflight request that tells that the client must refresh because for that path there is a middleware writing content.
Then we add a fix which simply consist of checking the internal option that tells when a change is triggered for hydration and skip the preflight in such scenario.

This ensures the `asPath` and `req.url` values are normalized correctly for fallback pages with i18n in minimal mode. This also copies the minimal mode test suite to run against i18n as well. This also fixes an issue where rewrite params weren't passed correctly on the client when no params were already used in the destination.

My understanding is that there are currently two functions `Router.change` and `Router.prefetch` leading to `Router._preflightRequest` and they pass `options.as` URL differently regarding base path.
In this PR, such difference will be handled in `Router._preflightRequest` to add base path before actually fetching.
Thanks for the review!
P.S.
Since middleware feature is a relatively new, official maintainers might not want external contributions around this area at this stage.
I totally understand such situation, so please let me know if that's the case. I can look for other issues to investigate instead.

Fixes#30897
This PR fixes the linked issue where rewrites are not being applied for locale. It adds the corresponding test but also, as it was added in debugging process, it introduces a helper to read/write into the `request` object.
We are currently writing directly into the request by casting to `any` and then using flags like `_nextRewrote`. Instead, this PR puts all of this metadata under a symbol so it is not directly accessible. This also allows to have a single place where all of this metadata is listed so we can add comments describing the purpose of each flag.
In the same way, there is metadata written in the querystring. This is adding some types for it in order to throw some visibility on where is this metadata accessed. In an upcoming PR we can move all of it to the `request` object if possible to simplify the system.

Adds support for render props to the `<Main>` component, when using the [functional custom `Document`](https://github.com/vercel/next.js/pull/28515) style. This allows you to write something like this:
```tsx
export default function Document() {
const jsxStyleRegistry = createStyleRegistry()
return (
<Html>
<Head />
<body>
<Main>
{content => (
<StyledJsxWrapper registry={jsxStyleRegistry}>
{content}
</StyledJsxWrapper>
)}
</Main>
<NextScript />
</body>
</Html>
)
}
```
In functional document components, this allows the `<App>` to be wrapped, similar to `enhanceApp` (which is only available via `getInitialProps`, which is not supported by functional document components). The primary use for this is for integrating with 3rd party CSS-in-JS libraries, allowing them to attach an `useFlush` handler to [support React 18](https://github.com/reactwg/react-18/discussions/110):
```tsx
import { unstable_useFlush as useFlush } from 'next/document'
export default function StyledJsxWrapper({ children, registry }) {
useFlush(() => {
/* ... */
})
return (
<StyleRegistry registry={registry}>
{children}
</StyleRegistry>
)
}
```
Support for `useFlush` will be added in a follow up PR.
In Next 12, `router.replace()` treats the page props cache as authoritative when fetching SSG props in preview mode. This makes sense outside preview mode (static props won't change), but within preview mode this prevents reloading the preview data dynamically without force-refreshing the page.
This PR fixes the problem by instructing Next to bypass the props cache if it's an SSG route AND preview mode is on.

This ensures we de-dupe inflight `getStaticProps` requests the same way we do `getServerSideProps`, this also removes the `_getStaticData` and `_getServerData` methods as they were repeating the same logic so could be combined into `fetchNextData`.

This refactor is the first of a few changes to support "classic" (two-part)
streaming. This one should be a noop that doesn't actually change the behavior.
It re-organizes the way that functions are wrapped in Document Head/NextScript
so anything that will be part of the second flush can be separated out from the
first flush. It also adds the structure for a useMaybeDeferContent hook, but
currently always assumes that nothing should be deferred.
The next PRs will actually implement streaming.

We generate the HTML for a document in two steps: First, we generate the body (i.e. everything under `<div id="__next">`). Then we generate the rest of the document and embed the body in it.
This doesn't work when the body is a stream, because React can't render the body for us unless we buffer it, and buffering it means not streaming. This PR takes the existing approach for AMP and uses it for all scenarios: instead of rendering HTML, we just render a placeholder that we can replace with HTML later. This will be used in a follow-up PR to let us know where to concatenate the body stream.
I also used the opportunity to split out `HtmlContext` from `DocumentProps`, as these will not be the same thing with functional document components.
This is a follow-up to https://github.com/vercel/next.js/pull/26963 which after discussion changes to interpolate the decoded variant of the value into the path.

From https://github.com/vercel/next.js/pull/20628, when the page is rendered server-side, `Router`'s `isReady` field needs to be initially set to `true`. However, when `_app` has custom `getInitialProps`, it seems that it is not the case, even though the page is rendered on the server.
This leads to a bug that `Router.isReady` is never set to `true`.
This pull request fixes the problem by fixing the initial calculation logic of `isReady` of `Router`.

Currently there is a lot of mutation in the Next.js Server and the checks for Locale are directly coded in the general request handler. Ideally, we should have a function where we just pass the request input (url + headers + config) and generate a bunch of metadata that analyzes it generating all metadata we might require for both the URL and i18n + basePath information.
This PR brings:
- A new parsing function `parseUrl` that joins parsing an absolute/relative URL into a data structure compatible with the Node parsing output but missing redundant properties.
- A wrapper `parseNextURL` that extends `parseUrl` analyzing `i18n` and `basePath` based on the provided configuration, url and headers. This function is pure and stateless so it can be used outside of the Next.js context.
- Types improvements and reuse.
- Refactors `next-server.ts` request handling using the above mentioned functions so that the code there just apply effects to the `req` object and the `parsedUrl.query` leaving the code much more straightforward.
- Refactors `getRouteRegex` decomposing in two different functions where `getParametrizedRoute` can be used to retrieve the serializable data that is used to generate the Regex.
This updates redirects' regexes to not match `/_next` paths since this is currently unexpected and can easily cause a multi-match redirect to break loading client-side assets. This also fixes custom-routes not matching correctly when `trailingSlash: true/false` is used
