Pulling out a few core points from the readme...
This example builds from /src into /dist, managing the different expectations of express.js (es5, commonjs) and next.js (es6) by using a pair of tsconfig.json files, both of which are run by `npm run build-ts` or any of the other npm targets.
Hot module reloading is largely but not completely wired up (nodemon is watching /dist but tsc isn't set up to watch /src and transpile changes in /src to /dist automatically (that's mainly because I wasn't sure how to start both nodemon and a pair of tsc watchers and be confident all would get shut down when the user killed dev mode). The readme suggests running `npm run build-ts` manually in another window to push changes from /src into /dev and on into the browser.
tslint is also wired up via `npm run tslint`
The original example fails to compile on my windows machine but updating bs-platform fixes that.
Depending on bs-next causes example to fail (package compiled with old incompatible version of bs-platform) so I have included it in a bindings directory where it can serve as an example of reason bindings.
Sources have been migrated to the latest reason-react.
Running the [with-jest](https://github.com/zeit/next.js/tree/canary/examples/with-jest) example results in the following error:

I’ve been experimenting with Next.js and Fastify and I made the following changes to the Fastify example based on what I found:
### Use Fastify’s plugin API
IMO putting Fastify’s listen call in a promise callback is an anti-pattern, b/c the Fastify plugin API is meant to solve the problem of async server bootstrapping.

### Set reply.sent in handlers which return promises
[From Fastify’s Routes docs](https://www.fastify.io/docs/latest/Routes/#promise-resolution):
> If your handler is an `async` function or returns a promise, you should be aware of a special behaviour which is necessary to support the callback and promise control-flow. If the handler's promise is resolved with `undefined`, it will be ignored causing the request to hang and an *error* log to be emitted.

> 1. If you want to use `async/await` or promises but respond a value with `reply.send`:
> - **Don't** `return` any value.
> - **Don't** forget to call `reply.send`.
> 2. If you want to use `async/await` or promises:

`app.render` returns a promise which contains undefined, so returning it in a Fastify handler will log an error. However, returning anything besides undefined will cause Fastify to try to write to the response which Next.js has already ended. The solution is to manually set the `reply.sent` flag to true when any Next.js rendering promise is fulfilled as an alternative to calling `reply.send`.
### Make Next.js handle 404 errors
This allows any route to throw a NotFound error and let Next.js handle the rendering of the 404 page.
### Make Next.js handle any route which starts with `_next` in dev
This prevents dev routes from being caught by user-defined routes.
As seen on `with-apollo-auth` there are some things that need to be addressed here too.
* #4554 remove useless `apolloState` from App props on `getDataFromTree`
* #4563 simplify `apolloState` prop

Apollo's getDataFromTree is supposed to be called during the server side rendering.
Being called in browser it fires an unnecessary fake render process and blocks components from rendering with loading=true.
Also there was a mistake in this code:
// `getDataFromTree` renders the component first, the client is passed off as a property.
// After that rendering is done using Next's normal rendering pipeline
this.apolloClient = props.apolloClient || initApollo(props.apolloState.data)
**Apollo** component is not rendered by getDataFromTree actually, it renders the **App** directly, thus props.apolloClient will always be undefined.

The purpose of the PR is to add the simplest possible integration with Storybook.
It leaves the default Storybook and also adds a custom component to show how it would be used in both the app and Storybook.

I finally found a solution in https://github.com/awslabs/aws-mobile-appsync-sdk-js/issues/82 but it might be worth to share it here as well. with-socket.io example was using a single index file and was managing connection in there. This would lead handling connection (disconnecting and reconnecting) in each added page.
I updated example with addition of `_app.js` and handled connection in there. This helped only subscribing to event in page and maintaining connection throughout example.

**Make amp example valid**
I'm using amp validator chrome plugin which shows that `meta charset=utf-8` is duplicated.
I assume that `Head` component adds `<meta charset="utf-8" class="next-head next-head">`
anyway.
And this line just duplicating it.

Hello! I ran into an issue using typescript and jest with next 6.0.0. I was able to work through fixing it and I wanted to share my solution back to next.js, by upgrading the with-jest-typescript example to next 6.0.0.
The steps I followed were:
1. `npx babel-upgrade --write` which added babel-core@^7.0.0-bridge.0 to allow jest's babel 6 to play nice with next's babel 7
2. Remove `ts-jest` and replace with `babel-jest` to use babel to transform the typescript code, as is done when the dev and production builds run
3. Update the babelrc to use commonjs modules in test mode to be compatible with jest
Also, I removed the `NODE_ENV=test` on the jest task, because jest sets the env to test anyways, and I'm on windows where this code is incorrect. The other option is to use `cross-env` but I felt it was simpler to just remove the environment override.

Got this fix from issue #2302. Libraries like `font-awesome` are pretty common. Indicating how to get them to work should be indicated in the `README.md` (if not added to the example)

The fetching previously was triggered using an api call that had side
effects, but was triggered from inside of an epic and was not an action.
Now calls on the front-end all of the api calls are occuring via an

server-side, thus the api.fetchCharacter call is awaited in
getInitialProps for initialising the state serverSide.

This still seems to be an incomplete solution to the problem as it
circumvents the standard redux event flow on the serverside. However, it
does obey the spirit of the redux event flow (as it passes an Observable

Apollo and Redux are completely separate ways of managing state. This example serves as a conduit if you were using Apollo 1.X with Redux, and are migrating to Apollo 2.x, however, you have chosen not to manage your entire application state within Apollo (`apollo-link-state`).
There is no "withData" function that allows you to call either/or. You must call "withRedux" and/or "withApollo" on your Component. They can be combined in the example at `index.js` or remain separate as seen in `apollo.js` and `redux.js`.
Going forward, this example may go the way of the dodo.

Prior to react-apollo 2.0 createNetworkInterface accepted the credentials option in {opt: {credentials: 'policy'}}. HttpLink accepts it as {credentials: 'policy'}.
This has never been working, we based our intl + locale lookups out of this example and found out when translations wasn't working on page transitions due to the fact that messages gets set to undefined because its trying to destruct in the incorrect level
