# No Before Interactive Script Outside Document > Prevent usage of `next/script`'s `beforeInteractive` strategy outside of `pages/_document.js`. #### Why This Error Occurred You cannot use the `next/script` component with the `beforeInteractive` strategy outside `pages/_document.js`.
