Now-env example

This example shows the usage of Now Secrets and now dev, it shows how to add environment variables in development that can be replaced in production by the secrets defined with Now.

How to use

Using create-next-app

Execute create-next-app with npm or Yarn to bootstrap the example::

npm init next-app --example with-now-env with-now-env-app
# or
yarn create next-app --example with-now-env with-now-env-app

Download manually

Download the example:

curl https://codeload.github.com/zeit/next.js/tar.gz/canary | tar -xz --strip=2 next.js-canary/examples/with-now-env
cd with-now-env

Install it with npm or yarn:

npm install
# or
yarn

now dev

Deploy it to the cloud with ZEIT Now (Documentation).
